Integral Centralizer Subs
The solution to horizontal and ultra-narrow holes
In running critical casing sizes, where annular space is less than 0.75 inches, the Ferro-Tube solid body or integral centralizer sub provides a positive centralization of the casing while being run down hole. The blades of the centralizer are not welded, are machined down such that the body of the sub and its blades are all one piece. Each integral centralizer is designed and manufactured according to our customer’s specific needs. The majority of thread combinations, materials, and dimensions required by our customers can be provided by Ferro-Tube. The integral centralizer’s design reduces the possibility of sticking by keeping separate the wall of the casing and the well bore. The width of the blades can be modified to improve the area of flow in applications where pressures are critical. In circumstances where loss of circulation is a concern, the integral blade centralizer can be manufactured with narrower blades thereby increasing the available circulation area. The body of the centralizer meets or exceeds all specifications of the casing to withstand the burst, collapse, and tension forces associated with down-hole operations. Integral blades centralizers are manufactured at our plant in Spring, Texas under the company’s stringent quality standards. Extensive use of this product design in the field has proven very effective. The integral blade centralizer can be manufactured to house either single or double valve configurations for float equipment applications. The blades of the centralizers are available in spiral and straight blade configurations. The integral blade centralizer, float shoe, and float collar can be manufactured according to each customer’s specific needs and configuration requirements.
